I've opened quite a few Community Clubs recently, but I was particularly delighted to open the upgraded Teck Ghee CC this morning! :) The old CC was popular and well-used, but we were running out of space to accommodate all the activities we wanted to offer.

Whether you’re into dance, music, cooking, or crafts, there will be something for everyone at a nearby CC! It’s also a great way to learn new things, which is why I’m glad the Central Singapore Community Development Council is working with us to conduct SkillsFuture Advice workshops, some of which were on when I dropped by today.

CCs play a pivotal role. They are more than activity centres. They are hubs where residents meet, make friends, and bond. They are cornerstones of the community, so residents always have a home away from home! – LHL

Had a fruitful weekend experiencing a curated career assistance at the GET UP event! From SkillsFuture advice to networking sessions, I find this initiative by North East Community Development Council really meaningful. It managed to help many residents/participants to gain insight and expand their network to boost employability in the digitalised economy. PM Lee: Last year I spoke about taking our economy to the next level: developing new skills, building capabilities, promoting entrepreneurship.

Happy to report that we are making good progress. We expect growth around 2.5% this year, and most encouragingly, productivity is improving.

Heng Swee Keat and the Future Economy Council is following up on the Committee for Future Economy’s report, and we are pressing on with SkillsFuture.
