Lunch was delicious grilled buttermilk waffles stuffed with turkey ham and mozzarella cheese ($15.90) from @theforagecafe which specializes in all things honey. Although the waffles were soggy (likely due to the delivery), the flavors were good. The drizzle of honey helped to balance the savouriness of the ham and cheese and it’s served with truffle mushrooms.
As for the Honey Osmanthus Tart ($10) - honey osmanthus jelly and creme, it was quite sweet on its own even without the extra squirt of honey and a pity the pastry base was pale and soft.
Meanwhile, the Forage Signature drink ($8.50) was a refreshing Citrus Jasmine Tea mixed with TFC’s special multi-floral honey, zesty yuzu blossom jelly chunks and passionfruit burst pearls. Quite a sweet drink but ideal for the hot weather.
