Rev3tri Williamsburg 113km 小賽報
其實台灣墾丁比賽前一個禮拜我就有感冒， 雖然比賽都順利， 但比完賽後損傷還是蠻大的。回到加州以後感冒症狀挺嚴重， 每晚都咳醒，訓練也不能馬上恢復正常，當時心裡也不知道接下來比賽該怎麼安排。
回台灣這趟壓力非常大， 除了贊助商對比賽的期待， 還有自己的壓力。 最主要是身為台灣最強的超鐵鐵人，覺得有責任在家鄉一定要給大家一個好的交代。 老婆當時懷孕有出些狀況，每天也是非常的擔心，同時工作也要顧好，最後才導致太累生病。所以一整趟旅程消耗我很多的體力和心神。
雖然如此， 教練還是鼓勵我參加 Rev3tri Williamsburg 半鐵， 加上七月的ironman lake placid 大鐵， 教練也鼓勵說這三年打的基礎不會一下子就不見，就盡力做身體可以負荷的訓練量。 結果慢慢的過了三個禮拜，我終於找回墾丁比賽前接近80%的感覺。
最近也開始關注gravel racing， 有一個選手叫Laurens Ten Dam，是Unbound 200英里gravel 比賽的第二名，也曾經是環法第九名，非常屌。他生活的理念motto叫 Live Slow， Ride Fast：平常不要壓力那麼大，騎車有空就停下來享受一下大自然的風景和聲音。身心 放鬆，可以在單車上可以騎更快。 他也說他完全不用功率計，每天騎完車會喝啤酒。我深深的被他影響，覺得不用給自己那麼大壓力， 做三鐵還是要享受，好玩最重要。 Jay 也提醒我放輕鬆，他很多最佳成績都是沒有期望沒壓力比出來的。 所以抱著這個態度，我週四6/24跟我爸一起從三番坐飛機到Virginia， 轉機時還特別跟我爸喝了杯啤酒放鬆，半夜抵達Williamsburg
比賽快報：
天氣， 23-30 c 100%濕度
游泳.22：44
這是我第一次老天爺對我最好的游泳天氣，水溫25 度， 天氣23-25度，剛好下水上岸都不會凍死。雖然不能穿防寒衣 （可以改善身體浮水的姿勢），但我們時游point to point， 順水流。這次游泳是最接近領先團隊，起跑速度有進步， 開水的練習有讓我在比賽時更放鬆。游泳出力的姿勢也改成用肩膀比較有力氣的肌肉， 感覺全程都有把握的push。~14 名 上岸
騎車 2:09:15， （41.84/kph)
騎車信心滿滿，屁股和腰部也沒有去年的疼痛，前半段用將近44kph的速度追過了很選手。但一過了45km，我的腰就開始緊繃很痛。因為這個比賽很rolling，坡不大，所以速度很高，要一直趴著，這樣對臀部附近的肌肉負荷很高。本來追上了一個選手，但因為腰中招，只能乖乖的在他後面，盡量跟著。最後只能硬忍，放慢功率，用盡量可以忍受的強度騎回轉換區。 這次很奇怪的是心跳也一直推不上去，覺得身體一直就是沒力。可能是因為東岸是早三個小時，比賽時間基本上是加州半夜三點多出發。。。。時差還沒有調好吧。。。哭
單車也趁機會追回了5個選手， 從14 追到第9.
單車棒有趣事情
看到一隻烏龜過馬路，我沒有撞到它
看到一隻松鼠過馬路，它反復來回了四次，才決定不要過馬路，幸好沒有把它壓死
我尿了四次，把墾丁沒尿的都補回來了
跑步 1:19:20 （3:44/km)
跑步的賽道很不錯，唯一靠北的就是兩個loop， 要上下一座橋兩次，所以要爬那個上坡四次 哭。 第一圈很保守的靠這體感， 維持在極限 -5-10% 左右， 超過了一位選手， 想說第二圈可以加速， 結果第二圈溫度上升，只有越來越慢。 當時暈頭轉向， 覺得沒有希望破四了，也不知道自己排第幾，只想盡力的回終點。
總成績 3:54:30, 第七名
過線後，很驚訝自己的有破四，超級開心！ 終於在美國本土破了四，也完成了自己努力好幾年的目標。看到炸雞團發簡訊說 我居然破了團團的台灣記錄， 差一秒。
上次台東也是差一秒， 只能笑笑， 看來我和團團的緣分還蠻有趣的
希望他不要像上次一下就破4 分鐘， 做這項運動很累內， （好啦開玩笑），希望我們可以繼續take Taiwan triathlon to the next level
雖然很開心，但還是沒有拿到獎金， 差第五名五分鐘， 下次繼續努力
這次比賽最大的心得就是準備一場比賽沒有完美的準備。 每個人都有自己的挑戰，限制，難處。我們能做的就是做我們能做的，在我們有限的資源內，盡量避免風險， 爭取最好的結果。像這次我的腰和屁股非常痛，或是時差，和不夠時間適應新環境水土不服，還是可以爭取到滿意的成績。
另外就是發現自己以前比完賽，下巴，手臂，一些明明就不應該痛的肌肉都在痛， 是因為我一直在用力，掙扎，奮鬥，把自己弄得很緊繃，浪費很多沒用的力氣。所以這次就提醒自己，時不時就看下風景，微笑，提醒自己我很開心可以追求我想做的事，自然而然的就放鬆了。 這次比完，就沒有奇奇怪怪的酸痛。
生活可能很匆忙，有很多事會擔心，但如果我們可以靜下心來，觀察周圍美好的地方，專心做我們可以做的，我們還是可以 「 live slow， and ride fast 」， 開心生活，跑爆朋友

下一站，Ironman Lake Placid 226， （剛訂完機票，旅館，心還有錢包都很痛，被老婆臭罵了一頓 哭 我去喝一杯啤酒放鬆一下， 「誤」）
Riding around KL this evening.
It started to drizzling when I riding out 😅 and so I decided to continue the ride with extra careful due to the slippery road going to be.
Went up to Changkat Hill and took photo there. Spotted a 🌈
Took a few more shots of the sunset at the back of it.
Decided to ride back home, and while heading down the hill, the road is really really slippery. I tried my best to descend it with both breaks on it, but the road is really slippery. While coming down the corner near the end, I was trying my best to turn and slow down, but in the end, I got both the wheels into the drain. Once I realized that, I knew I have no choice to pull it up when the drain end and too bad I didn't able to pull it up hard enough and I fall to the left of it, sliding through the road.
Luckily it wasn't a damaging fall, bike all good, palm and knee there got some bruises.
Then I decided to ride back and on my way riding back, spotted two accidents. Check my story for that. 😅
A myvi fly into the drain. Another one I didn't able to take photo as it happened at the jalan Bangsar and I just rode through it.
Raining day is not a good day to ride especially coming down from the hills.
*I prefer going up hill more to be honest. 😅
Hills are my friend, too bad they don't have an elevator to send me down 😆 and I wish there is.

I recently took a solo day trip to Maokong Village in Taipei, Taiwan. It was a nice opportunity to step away from the city and to fully immerse myself in the beauty of nature.
My intention for the month of August was deep rest, and as a practice, I've been making it a priority to explore more of this island and to do things that bring me joy. There's so much more to life than just work but because we live in the society that we do, it's easy to get caught up in just trying to survive.
I hope that these silent vlogs can be a simple reminder of the little things in life~
