We got a bunch of native Chinese speakers on the streets of NYC to react to American and/or Western celebrities’ Mandarin Chinese, as spoken in Hollywood movies or in real life. We got clips of Keanu Reeves, Mark Zuckerberg, John Cena, Jim Parsons (Sheldon from Big Bang Theory), Amy Adams (in Arrival), Michael Jai White, and Bruce Willis (in Red) speaking their best Mandarin for the camera.
But when we told our Chinese panel to react to Hollywood movie Chinese, what they heard was not necessarily Mandarin…! If you're looking to learn Chinese, you might want to stay away!

4 SCARIEST JAPANESE COMMERCIALS TO KEEP YOU UP
It's still Halloween month so we thought we'd do another scary video. This time about scary Japanese commercials! Some are creepy scary and some are scary scary!
1. McDonalds
The Ronald McDonald clown is often very scary to kids (and to me), and this scary Japanese McDonalds commercial shows exactly why. Why the heck would McDonalds make this ad? Or is it actually a fake? Perhaps someone can clarify for us.
2. Kleenex
We've already covered this in our 5 SCARIEST Japanese Urban Legends video (link above), but we had to include it in this list since it's just so creepy. There is a whole urban legends associated with this commercial involving people being cursed and dying. Check out our previous video to hear all about it.
3. Drawings
This child welfare ad is creepy and spooky. Do you think this was necessary to get the message across?
4. Tire
This Japanese Autoway Tire commercial was dubbed the scariest commercial of all time by many people.
