The baby in the family turned 4! Happy birthday, dearest Asher!

To celebrate his actual day, we rode our scooters and balance bike out for a mum-and-kids lunch. We stuck a candle on a hot fudge just for him to blow out again and again as he loves doing it. For how long more will he enjoy this, I wonder
Well, I am definitely cherishing it for now. Thanks for surprising us with the brownie, @mcdsg!

The hubby took half day off from work specially for this boy. We had a mini cake cutting ceremony at home with his favourite strawberries and he ate almost all of them, but not forgetting to feed some of them to us first. Awww. He also received a fire truck, a cap and handwritten cards from the sisters.

After that, I asked him if he would like to go outside to play more or head for Heguru lesson. He surprisingly chose the latter which is a strong sign of how much he enjoys his lessons and loves his teachers there.

We had a bonus and totally unplanned post dinner activity when we chanced upon an outdoor skating rink and the kids had half an hour of fun skating and enjoying the snow! Yes, not real ice nor snow but that joy was pure and we had fun together as a family.

The last part of his special day was spent at the supermarket, haha, as we had to get supplies for our poolside BBQ today. Yup, it's a whole weekend of celebrations and we are gonna be busy but happy! Till more updates.

My hometown of Bien Hoa has definitely modernized and developed rapidly over the past few years. I don't recognize it anymore. My cousin Mai's kids have definitely grown up over the years too. I remember when they were babies! I've always wanted to be that cool "uncle" type so I decided that this visit to Vietnam would have to include spending more time with them because they were often in school or away when I was around. And even though we didn't do very much besides watching Spider Man and eating some pepperoni-less deep dish pizza that wasn't so deep. Oh, and they also watched me play the only sport I'm half decent at. I hope they had a good time. At least a relatively different summer day.

This video made my childhood dream come true. I watched rhythmic gymnastics grow up as a kid, love the ribbon part the most, but I never dare to ask for having a chance to learn or even play with the ribbon.

Now I'm a Professional Artistic Roller Skater (and also a leisure ice figure skater ), I'm so happy I meet some friends who support me so much and give me the courage to chase for my dream(s).
