2020 日本站正式取消
MotoGP(TM)世界選手権シリーズを統括するドルナスポーツ社（CEO カルメロ・エスペレータ氏）と同シリーズの日本グランプリを主催、運営する株式会社モビリティランド ツインリンクもてぎ（栃木県・茂木町）は、2020年10月16日（金）～18日（日）に、開催予定でありました「2020 FIM MotoGP(TM) 世界選手権シリーズ 日本グランプリ」につきまして、本年度の開催を中止することを決定いたしました。
国内外における新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大状況や各地域での防止対策などを踏まえ、慎重に検討を重ねて参りましたが、チャンピオンシップ関係者の大移動を伴う遠征開催を避けヨーロッパ内での開催を優先し、シリーズの成立に向けたMotoGP(TM)シリーズ戦再構築の要請を受け、開催中止を判断いたしました。
なお、本大会の中止に伴い、10月17日（土）に開催予定でありました公道パレード「グランプリロードR123パレード」も中止となります。
