#MyMalaysia Storify aims to collect pictures of Malaysians from all walks of life to share their views on the significance of Merdeka.

We will be taking black and white photos (and some will be crowd sourced via Instagram) of everyday Malaysians (many will be in contemporary wear) in front of iconic buildings. The pictures of Malaysians today but filtered in b&w is to invoke a sense of nostalgia for Merdeka. All the photos will be uploaded to The Star Online on Merdeka day via Storify.
a) Upload a photo of yourself posing (selfie also can) in front of an iconic/historical building and post it to Instagram.
b) Use the 'inkwell' filter (it's black and white). c) Answer: What does Merdeka mean to you?
d) State your full name, age, and hometown in the pic.
e) Hashtag #IAmMalaysia
f) post to Instagram

「你可能覺得自己埋沒在人海中，但我能看見你。」

朝著目標、夢想前進的方向，本就不是一望可見的偉大航道，更像是在城市中穿梭徒步走出一條屬於你自己的路。在埋頭努力找尋方向的過程中，旁人的期待與評論、自我懷疑逐漸蒙蔽了可以看見道路的雙眼，感受到自己的渺小因而沮喪。

我也這麼經歷過。很感謝好友當時的鼓勵：即使在茫茫人海中，我一樣能看見妳。即使在群體中妳看似微不足道，我還是能看見妳奮力發光著。這番話像強心針般，讓我又有力氣繼續朝著音樂的夢想前進。

當時17歲寫下的創作《I See You》，不只是紀錄我的感受，也是希望當你感到沮喪、無力再繼續的時候，這首歌可以像我那位好友一樣陪伴在你的身邊。不是因得著夢想才能被看見，單單因為你是你，獨一無二的你用自己的方式過屬於你的人生而閃閃發光著。
