請問一個很基本的文法

其中舉的例子我懂

然而，a lot 或 lots 亦可當副詞，經常用來修飾副詞或形容詞的比較級，在此它們意為
「在很大程度上，非常」(=much, many, a great deal)。例如：
This is a lot better. (這個好多了)
That is lots interesting. (那有趣多了)
但是
Thanks a lot. (= Thank you very much 非常感謝)

就覺得怪怪的


請問Thanks是名詞，a lot應該是什麼詞呢?
