⚾️Let's celebrate #AmericaDayHomerun at Tainan Baseball Stadium on July 4!⚾️
Did you remember when Taiwan held the Baseball World Cup in 2001 (first time in Taiwan’s history)?! It is one of the largest international baseball games Taiwan ever organized, with 16 international teams participating including the U.S.! In that 2001 World Cup, the U.S. won the second place and Taiwan received the Bronze Award.
U.S. and Taiwan share love of #baseball and that passion has long formed a bond that connects people in the United States and Taiwan.
On July 4, AIT is celebrating America’s 244th Independence Day with #AmericaDayHomerun at Tainan Municipal Baseball Stadium. We are thrilled to welcome special guests: legendary players ⭐️Wang, Chien-Ming and ⭐️Kuo, Hong-Chih will throw the first pitch, with the assistance of Hall of Fame umpire ⭐️Liu, Po-Chun.
🎫🎟AIT is giving away 3 pairs of #AmericaDayHomerun tickets to our Facebook and Instagram followers. Like us, share this post, and tag 5 friends in the comment section (make sure they like AIT’s fan page account!) before June 28. We will draw winners and contact you via private message on June 29.

PSM Open Day is one of Perbadanan Stadium Malaysia (PSM)’s core initiatives to bring more contents to the stadium.
It would be such a waste if these assets, worth billions of ringgit, were not put to its fullest potential.
Therefore today, over 140 individuals, who are captains of the entertainment industry from all over the world, came over to Stadium Nasional today to witness the ‘new PSM’ and the venue.
Under the leadership of Tan Sri Tony Fernandes and its professional board of directors, PSM is now on a path to profitability for the first time.
This was done via renegotiation of legacy contracts that were deemed exclusive, reducing the dependency of 3rd parties in facilities management and diversifying PSM’s revenue sources.
For instance, the move by PSM to do in-house solution for certain maintenance contracts brought a total savings of RM5 million a year.
Kudos to PSM!
I hope that the Open Day would be a catalyst in convincing industry stakeholders that Kuala Lumpur is the destination of choice in ASEAN for world-class events.
If we execute this well enough - it would bring tremendous benefits to the tourism sector too.
Therefore, KBS as the owner of the largest event venue in Malaysia will continuously support PSM’s efforts to make KL Sports City a destination of choice.
Let’s start making KL Alive again!

Here are six unmissable experiences you need to try in the Nordic countries. Witness the world's tallest bonfire, take a dip in Iceland’s Blue Lagoon and even visit the official hometown of Santa Claus in Lapland.
What are the greatest football stadiums in the world? Wembley? Old Trafford, San Bernabéu? The Maracanã? It’s all up for debate, but if we’re talking about the most scenic stadium, look no further than the fishing village of Henningsvaer, Norway. This tiny venue with no seats is situated on its very own island, allowing locals to have easy access to the beautiful game. With Henningsvaer having a population of around 500, you won’t have too much trouble joining in the fun. To plan your Norwegian adventure visit: https://theculturetrip.com/europe/nor...
For another impressive Norwegian experience, make your way to the port town of Ålesund to see the world’s tallest bonfire. The bonfire is held every year on Midsummer’s Eve, and is part of Slinningsbalet, a massive yearly festival. Over three months, wooden pallets are stacked on top of each other to create a massive wooden structure which, when set alight, provides a spectacle that can be seen from miles away. Find out more about the town and its history at: https://theculturetrip.com/europe/nor...
The cold never bothered you anyway? Then head 200km North of the Arctic Circle to Jukkasjärvi, Sweden and chill in the world’s first hotel constructed entirely out of ice and snow. Make sure you time your booking, though, as each summer the hotel melts and each winter it’s reconstructed using ice from the neighbouring Torne River, incorporating newly themed suites, sculpted by a different artist every year to create the ultimate winter wonderland. To book your stay and read more, check out: https://theculturetrip.com/europe/swe...
For an even quirkier activity head to the Streymoy, the largest of the Faroe Islands. Here, hundreds of feet above the ocean, sheep are transported every year by a human-pulled cable car in order for them to graze. The sheep are then auctioned off to help support the local community. Plan your Faroe Island trip with Culture Trip here: https://theculturetrip.com/europe/far...
For the most wonderful time of the year head to Rovaniemi in Finland. The capital city of Finnish Lapland is the official hometown of Santa Claus and every year the local post office receives more than half a million Christmas letters from all over the world. Give the elves a hand in deciding who’s been naughty and who’s been nice and then head out on a magical husky safari. Read more: https://theculturetrip.com/europe/fin...
Iceland’s Blue Lagoon should be at the top of your bucket list. The famously milky-blue waters have captivated travellers and contributed to the country’s tourism boom in recent years. The waters are full of mineral salts, healthy algae and a kind of silica mud that contributes to its cloudy blue color as well as being a nourishing tonic for the human skin. A little-known fact is that the lagoon was the accidental result of drilling by the Svartsengi Geothermal Plant. Guangzhou (simplified Chinese: 广州; traditional Chinese: 廣州; Cantonese pronunciation: [kʷɔ̌ːŋ.tsɐ̂u̯] or [kʷɔ̌ːŋ.tsɐ́u̯] ( listen); Mandarin pronunciation: [kwàŋ.ʈʂóu] ( listen)), traditionally romanised as Canton, is the capital and most populous city of the province of Guangdong in southern China. Located on the Pearl River about 120 km (75 mi) north-northwest of Hong Kong and 145 km (90 mi) north of Macau, Guangzhou was a major terminus of the maritime Silk Road and continues to serve as a major port and transportation hub.
Guangzhou is currently, the third most-populous city in mainland China, behind Beijing and Shanghai; holds sub-provincial administrative status; and is one of China's five National Central Cities. In 2015 the city's administrative area was estimated to have a population of 13,501,100 and forms part of one of the most populous metropolitan agglomerations on Earth. Some estimates place the population of the built-up area of the Pearl River Delta Mega City as high as 44 million without the Hong Kong SAR and 54 million including it. Guangzhou is identified as a Beta+ Global city. In recent years, there has been a rapidly increasing number of foreign residents and illegal immigrants from the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia, as well as from Africa. This has led to it being dubbed the "Capital of the Third World". The migrant population from other provinces of China in Guangzhou was 40 percent of the city's total population in 2008. Most of them are rural migrants, and they speak only Mandarin.
Guangzhou was long the only Chinese port permitted for most foreign traders. The city proper fell to the British and was opened by the First Opium War. It lost trade to other ports such as Hong Kong and Shanghai, but continued to serve as a major entrepôt. In modern commerce, Guangzhou is best known for its annual Canton Fair, the oldest and largest trade fair in China. For the three consecutive years 2013–2015, Forbes ranked Guangzhou as the best commercial city on the Chinese mainland.
Let's take a proper look at Guangzhou, one of the four 1st tier cities in China...

Eden Kai, 16 year-old acoustic guitarist virtuoso singer-songwriter, played his acoustic guitar instrumental songs and music performance at the 50th State Fair at the Aloha Stadium in Hawaii on July 4th Independence Day weekend celebration 2015. It was Brown Bags to Stardom Day showcasing the winners of the prestigious statewide competition.
Eden Kai was this year's 2015 Grand Champion and also 1st place Music Instrumental. This acoustic guitar player gave an amazing live performance. This is the same competition which launched the careers of Bruno Mars, Jake Shimabukuro, Tia Carrere, Glenn Medeiros, Yuna Ito, and many other stars from Hawaii.
Special thanks to Brown Bags to Stardom executive producer Johnny Kai for his excellent service and work in continuing this amazing talent competition which has been a household name in Hawaii since the 1970's, long before American Idol and America's Got Talent! Johnny Kai was also the emcee introducing Eden at the beginning of the performance.
Eden's original composition "Beautiful Stars" was written and inspired by the beautiful stars shooting across the Hawaiian sky.

About EDEN KAI:
With millions of fans around the world, Eden Kai has earned his reputation as being a ukulele and guitar virtuoso, a Pop/R&B vocalist, and an accomplished actor. While many were first introduced to Eden when he joined the cast of Netflix and Fuji Television’s Terrace House: Aloha State, the young star’s success had already been years in the making. He has since gone on to make additional appearances on Terrace House: Tokyo 2019-2020, appeared on Shiro to Kiiro on Amazon Prime and has performed at the Fuji Rock Festival (the largest outdoor music festival in Japan), Nisei Week Festival in Little Tokyo, OC Japan Fair and ANA Honolulu Music Week in Waikiki. Eden’s accomplishments have earned him interviews by NBC News and The Yomiuri Shinbun (the world’s most circulated newspaper).
His most recent album, Home Sweet Home, released in 2018 and was recorded in Tokyo, Japan, produced by his music label in Japan Victor Entertainment. Three tracks from that album were featured in episodes of Netflix Japan’s Terrace House during the show’s Opening New Doors and Tokyo 2019-2020 seasons. The series also featured Eden’s instrumental compositions of “Touch the Sky” and “Feel the Earth.” “Monogatari” was his debut pop vocal single, which he wrote and performed on the show. That music, as well as Eden’s past album releases, can be heard on all major streaming services and is available for purchase on Eden’s official website, www.EdenKai.com.
In addition to working on his own music, Eden has collaborated with some of the world’s top artists and producers, including EXILE and Dream. One of his compositions was used to create “Anuenue,” a hit J-Pop single recorded and released by Dance Earth Party, which landed at #11 on the Oricon Music Charts in Japan.
Eden also recognizes the importance of using his music to help others. He has hosted several ukulele workshops in Honolulu and Japan, been the featured performer at the Waikiki Spam Jam, benefiting the largest non-profit in Hawaii that feeds the needy, and the Hawaii Food and Wine Festival from which proceeds helped local children in the community. Eden has donated proceeds from some of his songs to assist humanitarian causes, including the support of a health center in Haiti and the purchase of educational materials for children in Bangladesh.
