Koalas are not bears. Habitat loss is the greatest threat to Koalas. Koalas are mostly nocturnal. They often sleep for up to 18-20 hours each day. The Joey (baby koala) stays in its mother’s pouch for about 6 or 7 months, drinking only milk.
