《Keep Calm and Stay Strong》

2013年有幸獲《蘋果日報》體育版相邀，撰寫每週專欄，想不到一寫就幾乎八年，共計359篇；更想不到最終告別的理由，竟是如此無可奈何。
從一開始我就知道，自己不是專業的運動記者或評析員，《蘋果》的體育同事找了我這個小說家來寫，自然是希望有一個看體育的不同視角。故此這專欄的定位，一直是以人文社會角度去寫運動，時有觸及政治意識以至社會正義的議題；間或碰上香港關鍵時刻，也會著意描畫運動競技的熱血一面，期盼能鼓舞人心。
如今回想，寫過這幾百篇裡，自己比較滿意的，多就是這些帶有社會訊息的文章；也唯有在《蘋果》，寫的時候從來不需要擔心界線問題。為此我要深深表達感謝。
在專欄裡曾經不止一次寫過：球賽令人著迷之處，是即使不如意落敗，永遠還有下一個球季，明天的希望。陷在泥沼的爛隊，不能排除它有翻身之日；一時的挫折，並非世界末日。
從2019年至今這段日子，每次我做完運動鍛錬，把照片分享到社交媒體時，都特意加一句tag： Keep Calm and Stay Strong. 在狂風暴雨跟前，我們未必擋得住每次打擊，但只要一天呼吸著，就該盡力保守自己的心靈冷靜和強韌，不可懷憂喪志。
將來，在美好的燦爛陽光下，我們再見。

最近的新聞，各種顏色在交鋒
借疫情攻擊政敵，除了死忠支持者會歡呼外，普通民眾如我，只會默默看在眼內
這一刻，我希望有做實事的人
醫護人員已經很辛苦了，這些口水戰不能幫助他們
只希望疫情可以早日援解，他們可以休息，民眾也可以回歸正常生活
在這些混戰之中，作為普通人，也可以做很多
不看沒有來源的訊息，保持頭腦清醒
不參與謾罵，冷處理就好
不看名嘴的節目，他們的見解沒有比較精闢
如果遇到有需要幫忙的人，也幫忙一下
這一刻，台灣團結很重要

It’s some personal opinions.
From the news these days, the quarrel between political parties was so severe.
They attacked each other about pandemic prevention measures. Maybe their supporter will be pleased, but I am not.
I wish the leader could do something which really helps.
The medics are all very tired. The quarrel could not ease their burden.
Every one wants the pandemic to be gone soon. The medics and the people can then resume normal life.
In the chaos, we can do something to help.
Don’t read the message without source. Keep calm.
Don’t join the quarrel. Just let it go.
Don’t watch the “talk show”. They are not so professional.
If you meet someone needs help, please offer your helping hand.
We need to be united.
