這首歌最初是由Crazy Horse樂團在1971年所發行的同名專輯Crazy Horse裡的一首歌，英國國寶級歌手Rod Stewart(洛史都華)在1975年翻唱做成單曲後，才獲得廣大迴響，一直到1989年，Rod Stewart又重新錄製了新版本的I Don`t Want to Talk About It，在Billboard Adult Contemporary chart拿到第二名的成績。
歷年來有Rita Coolidge、Billie Jo Spears和Ian Matthews等許多歌手翻唱過這首歌，我小時候聽的是天后阿妹翻唱版
