有需要割包皮嗎？
「有需要割包皮嗎？」是不少男生甚至媽媽的疑惑，讓我們先來了解一下包皮的作用吧！包皮是指遮蓋陰莖頂部龜頭的鬆軟皮膚皺摺，作用是保護陰莖，剛出生男嬰的包皮完全覆蓋龜頭屬正常現象，約到4至5歲時，包皮才會與龜頭漸漸分開，而包皮的長度與鬆緊也因人而異。當包皮可以推開時，洗澡時就應確保包皮及陰莖要被清潔，輕柔地向後推開，遇阻力時即停止，沖洗乾淨完把包皮拉回即可。
那麼醫學上甚麼情況下需要割包皮呢？如果到了青春期，包皮完全推不開，無法清洗乾淨以致有異味、反覆發炎，甚至是不適疼痛，或是陰莖完全勃起時龜頭會全部被覆蓋住，就應宜諮詢醫生，評估後是否有割包皮的需要了！

“Is circumcision necessary?” many men or even mothers are often unsure. Let us understand the function of the foreskin first! Foreskin refers to a fold of skin that covers and protects the glans of the penis. It is common for the foreskin to envelope the entire glans of the penis when a baby boy is born.
Once he reaches the age of 4 – 5, the foreskin detaches itself from the glans, and from then on, the length and tightness of the foreskin would vary for each individual. The foreskin should be pulled back non-forcibly to expose the glans for cleaning, and once done, allow it to return to its relaxed state.
So under what medical circumstances should an individual opt for circumcision (the removal of the foreskin)? If an individual hits puberty but is still unable to retract the foreskin to clean the glans, hence causing inflammation, bad odor, or even pain and discomfort, then he should consult a doctor, assess the situation to see if circumcision is needed to resolve the problem. Likewise, individuals whose foreskin is not retractable at all when his penis is fully erected should also seek medical advice.
