My children have Chinese ancestry but we barely explore that side of our tradition. Usually, I cook a lot of western or Malay dishes on my weekly show. But I decided to revisit my love for Chinese cuisine with my guest presenter, Vickey Chen who claims she is 60% Chinese, 40% international. LOL

My dad is the most unexpressive person I’ve ever known, except when he’s angry LOL! (And whenever he needs to smile for the camera 🥲)
But 3 years ago when I was hospitalised, my dad just came back from a business trip too. The moment he touched down, he came straight to the hospital to look for me and did so for the 3 days I was warded. He did so even though he was exhausted, and it didn’t help that he had a very severe backache which greatly affected his mobility. He literally had to stagger to come and see me.
He may not express his love much verbally, but it’s through his actions I know that my dad loves me dearly. 😭

太陽神アマテラスと迷ったのですが…この雰囲気はギリシア神話だなと思ったのでアポロンにしました！
I was wondering whether to name it Amaterasu, the sun god, but I thought this atmosphere was Greek mythology, so I chose Apollo!
金箔が混ざった水晶を揉んでいるような感覚でした
It was like playing with a crystal mixed with gold leaf.
