👩🏻🏫👩🏻🏫👩🏻🏫
10 years ago, when I enrolled in the Teachers Training Institute in Malaysia, many doubted that I would be able to complete my studies, but I proved them wrong❌
The pandemic saw teachers having to move to online classes, and this is a huge challenge for teachers who have poor IT knowledge. Despite this, us teachers took on the responsibility of having to learn and adapt with the times, instead of throwing in the towel. If we gave up just because we had to learn something we weren't familiar with, how could we teach our students to do otherwise❓
Never let difficulties stop you from learning. It's never too late to pick up new skills to keep improving and eventually find the right career, if you haven't found it yet.
FutureLearn and JobStreet have launched a number of free courses to help you fulfil your interests and ambitions, so it's time to pick up new skills and keep learning. I'm signing up for the English Language course to improve my language skills so I can communicate with my students better and help to build a brighter future for them.
@mikayo_ito @bryankow0608 @reneeng_wenwen Join me now to #Levelupyourcareer with JobStreet Malaysia today. Complete it with certification and upskill yourself. Check out the link in my bio.
If you have friends who could benefit from free courses as well, do tag them in the comments to share this with them.

Alhamdulillah, I got another credit for my English homework! We were asked to analyse the opening sentences of a few thriller novels and explain what effect they have on the reader. This was actually a very interesting piece of work - it meant we could really go into depth of how different writing styles work.
Neither the actual task nor the credit is what I want to highlight, though. This is the comment that my English teacher wrote in response to my work. It’s one of the things that I especially value about how my teachers mark the students’ work - the effort they put into writing personalised comments for each piece of homework, regardless of what task it is or how well you do. They don't just simply put a grade and a single 'Well done' at the end. Like here, there is one paragraph’s worth of feedback for a single piece of work.
For me, it’s these individual comments that give me the drive to keep trying hard for each task. Those comments, as unimportant as they may seem, are proof that the teachers actually care about our work and want us to do the best that we can. A single grade just alienates the student…but taking the time to write in-depth about our strengths and weaknesses (plus congratulating us!) forms a closer bond between the teacher and student - something that all of us, not just at King Edward’s School, but anywhere, should value!
Motivated,
Omar Mukhtar

Do You Think Life is Tough? Read this, and You will Appreciate Life More.
Growing up from a poor family and losing my a father at the age of eight, I have always been an ambitious child. I have always wanted to great things in life and would do anything to achieve it. And I refuse to believe that life has its boundaries for people like us.
👉 At the age of 9, I was sexually molested.
👉 At the age of 11, I was sold to an old gay guy at a cinema which was showing Filipino adult movies for 100 pesos and it happened a few times.
👉 I got used to it and traded myself to anyone who wanted pleasure for a couple of dollars until 16.
👉 I became a millionaire (in pesos) at the age of 19 by showing and sending nude videos to paedophiles online. I spent all my money for nothing and also lose all those.
👉 At 18 I was slapped in public at a gold course of the university I attended to, dominated by people who have no laws. I had no choice but to agree, else, I know I’ll be found dead the next day.
👉 I had to encode thesis at night, train dance to high school students, do make-up during events, wash dishes to get by. And yes, I have shoplifted a few times to submit my school projects.
👉 I was first discriminated in Manila because of my Bisaya accent in both Tagalog and English, it went for years until I changed my accent to fit in.
👉 I was physically assaulted in Malate and Cubao because I was gay.
👉 I can keep going.
But I have a thousand reasons to love and appreciate life. And a million reasons why I choose to fight. I never needed pitty, I need someone who could listen.
These are the few reasons, why I know how to be an ordinary person, and help people alike. I am here to stay and build my advocacies for the country who rejected me. I am here to fight for what my fellowmen deserve in life.
I am not going to beg for your likes, comments, and share. But if you believe in your heart that what I do is genuine, please share this video.
To be continued...
