สวัสดีครับ ผมเปียง ยินดีต้อนรับเข้าสู่เดือนมีนาคมครับ หลังจากที่เราห่างหายจากเรื่องหมอๆ มาซักพัก ผมอยากจะมาแนะนำให้ทุกท่านได้พบกับช่วงใหม่ของผม 'AS YOUR DOCTOR’S ROLE' หรือในชื่อไทยที่ว่า ‘ในฐานะหมอ’ อยากจะพาทุกคนไปรู้จักเรื่องต่างๆทางการแพทย์ที่น่าสนใจและเกี่ยวข้องกับแฟนเพจทุกๆคน
Stem cell donation หรือก็คือการบริจาคสเต็มเซลล์ เรียกได้ว่าเป็น hot issue ของวงการแพทย์ในตอนนี้ ที่มีการรณรงค์เพื่อหาผู้บริจาคกันทั่วโลก เพราะการบริจาคของคุณครั้งนี้อาจเป็นกุญแจสำคัญในการรักษาโรคบางโรคให้หายขาดได้ หรือพูดง่ายๆ ว่าเปลี่ยนทั้งชีวิตของคนไข้ได้นั่นเอง
‘Stem cell คืออะไร?’
สเต็มเซลล์ คือ เซลล์ต้นกำเนิดเม็ดเลือดครับ เซลล์ชนิดนี้สามารถกลายร่างเป็นเซลล์เม็ดเลือดชนิดต่างๆได้หลากหลาย ซึ่งเซลล์ตัวนี้นั่นเอง โดยปกติแล้ว เราจะพบเซลล์ชนิดนี้ได้มากในไขกระดูก และพบได้บ้างในกระแสโลหิตของพวกเรา เราปลูกถ่ายเซลล์นี้เพื่อรักษาโรคทางโลหิตบางโรค ที่มีการสร้างเซลล์เกี่ยวกับเม็ดเลือดผิดปกติ
‘ถ้ามันดีขนาดนั้น ก็น่าจะมีคนอยากช่วยเยอะอยู่แล้วหรือเปล่า?’
คำตอบคือ ‘เปล่า’ เลยครับ เพราะการบริจาคสเต็มเซลล์ ยังไม่ได้เป็นที่รู้จักกันอย่างแพร่หลายขนาดนั้น ผู้ป่วยไม่ได้สามารถนำเซลล์ตัวนี้ไปใช้ได้ทุกคน และไม่ได้บริจาคกันได้ง่ายๆ แบบการบริจาคเลือดทั่วไป แต่ต้องมีกระบวนการหลายขั้นตอน และต้อง 'เจ็บตัว’ เพื่อให้ได้มาซึ่งสเต็มเซลล์ที่เราต้องการครับ ถ้าเจ้าของเซลล์ไม่ได้ตั้งใจจะบริจาคจริงๆ ก็จะไม่สามารถเก็บตัวอย่างได้
วันนี้ผมเข้าไปที่สภากาชาดไทยครับ เพื่อเข้าไปแสดงให้ทุกคนดูกันว่า สเต็มเซลล์ที่ว่ามันสำคัญอย่างไร ในสถานที่จริงเขาทำอะไรที่นั่นบ้าง และ ถ้ามีคนสนใจอยากจะบริจาคกันจริงๆ ต้องรู้อะไร ทำอะไร และเตรียมตัวอย่างไร
ตอนนี้ผมอยู่ที่หน้าสภากาชาดไทยแล้วครับ ตามผมไปดูข้างในกันดีกว่า

Stem cell donation, or stem cell donation, is now a medical hot issue that campaigns to find donors around the world. Because your donation can be key to cure some diseases, cured or said. It's easy to change the whole life of a patient.
'What is Stem cell?'
Stem cell is a stem cell. This cell can transform into a variety of types of blood cells. This cell usually finds this type of cell in bone marrow and finds some of our bloodstream. Transplant this cell to cure some blood diseases that are forming abnormal blood cells.
' If it's that good, should there be a lot of people who want to help? '
The answer is ' empty ' because stem cell donations are not that widely known. Patients can't use this cell for everyone and don't donate easily. Common blood donation is a process of many steps. And it has to be ' hurt ' to get the stem cells we want. If the cell owner doesn't really intend to donate, they can't collect the samples.
Today I went to the Thai Red Cross to show everyone how important stem cells are in the real place. They do something there and if there are people who really want to donate, what to do and how to prepare.
