-------------------
⭐ Why is tourism important to a country?
In my opinion, tourism is the key to any country because it is lucrative. When a country attracts flocks of tourists, it can benefit from the extravagant spending of international tourists who are willing to splurge on entertainment activities and restaurants. You know, some people are willing to live on the breadline for months to set aside enough money for an overseas trip. Also, the development of global travel means that more employment opportunities are created. Local people can work as tour guides, open their own business or simply sell local cuisines to earn a living.
⭐ What are the benefits to individuals visiting another country as tourists?
As for tourists, firstly, they benefit from cultural knowledge gained during the trips. Every experience is more practical and realistic in comparison with things they read on books or on the internet. They can also have once-in-a-lifetime memories. For example, visiting Thailand was the first time I enjoyed sex shows which are deemed to be antisocial or even illegal in Vietnam. Secondly, tourists can boost their language skills if their visits are long enough.
⭐ How necessary is it for tourists to learn the language of the country they're visiting?
I think nowadays, learning the language of the country you are going to visit is no longer necessary. One day, when I was having dinner in an outlet in a supermarket, a Chinese tourist asked me about how to eat a Vietnamese cuisine. I was shocked because some online applications such as Google Translate could easily make our language barriers vanished. I mean if you are able to communicate with indigenous people in their language, so it's really fantastic. But if not, don't worry because technology has revolutionized everything, including this circumstance.

Orchid Island, also known as Lanyu, is a 45 square km volcanic island
off the southeastern coast of Taiwan's main island. It's considered to
have one of the best preserved indigenous tribal communities in
Taiwan, despite its rapid modernization in recent years.
Because of COVID-19, Taiwanese people's inability to go
overseas, and Orchid Island's natural beauty, it has seen a
big increase in tourists since last year. According to the local
government, there were 313,166 arrivals in Orchid Island in 2020, up
from about 230,000 a year earlier. That's a 73% increase.
Another sign of change: the number of registered guesthouses
On the island climbed last year to 146, 20 of which were newly registered.
Another 44 applications are pending.
That has brought a lot of change to Orchid Island, where the
number of people in registered households totals only 5,207, and the
actual number of residents is 3,500. The influx of tourists has
caused headaches for some local people of the Tao or Yami indigenous
tribe.
The local government says it is working to minimize the impact on
the traditional culture of the Tao people and Orchid Island's ecology,
by means such as printing on free maps a list of dos and don'ts when visiting Orchid Island.
Si Ngalopkop (aka Liao Ming-de), an Orchid Island Tao tribeman, cultural preservation advocate, and small eatery manager, recently told CNA how tourism has impacted the island and its people.

Gangaramaya Temple is one of the most important temples in Colombo, Sri Lanka, being a mix of modern architecture and cultural essence. Located on the Beira Lake, it was completed in the late 19th century.
The temple's architecture demonstrates an eclectic mix of Sri Lankan, Thai, Indian, and Chinese architecture.
This Buddhist temple includes several imposing buildings and is situated not far from the placid waters of Beira Lake on a plot of land that was originally a small hermitage on a piece of marshy land.
In addition, a museum, a library, a residential hall, a three storeyed Pirivena, educational halls and an alms hall are also on the premises.
Most notable for tourists is the architecture of the Simamalaka Shrine, which was built with donations from a Muslim sponsor to the design of Geoffrey Bawa.

KHÁM PHÁ VẺ ĐẸP VÀ VĂN HÓA SAPA - LOST IN SAPA - IELTS FIGHTER HERE AND THERE
- Hôm nay chúng ta cùng Ms.Quỳnh tìm hiểu và khám phá vẻ đẹp thiên nhiên, truyền thống văn hóa của Sapa và bài mẫu đây nha:
Sapa hides many wonders of the nature scene as well as people. This “under clouds” town attracts so many tourists due to its spectacular (hùng vĩ) mountain views and many unique experiences of discovering the life of ethnic minorities (dân tộc thiểu số)
The natural landscape of Sapa is combined with the creativity of human beings, and also the topography (địa thế) of green hills and forest, creating a painting which has an arrangement of harmony layout.
And it also creates a region having many romantic, beautiful and appeal scenes. From the city center, you can widen your eyes to contemplate (thưởng ngoạn) the true beauty of Sapa.
Sapa is well-known for its cultural diversity (văn hoá đa dạng) in a combination of many ethnic minority groups’ culture. Visitors to Sapa will actually have opportunities to discover the unique customs(phong tục độc đáo) of the local residents.
Local markets are the town’s typically cultural element, which are always crowded and joyful, attracting hundreds of visitors. This is the common place for minority groups to gather and exchange goods. Market sessions are also a chance for local people to promenade (đi dạo).
In the background of chilly climate, Sapa has many kinds of typical vegetables in the temperate regions such as broccoli, cauliflower, beets, etc. The vegetables grown in Sapa are sweet and soft, and extremely delicious as well.
Combining both culture and natural beauty into one enticing package, Sapa is definitely worth visiting if you have the chance. While its remote (xa xôi) location might be a little bit of a pain to get to, it’s also what has preserved the scenic beauty and rich cultural heritage (di sản) for so long!
And that’s it about Sapa, thank you guys so much for watching. If you guys like this video, don’t forget to give IELTS Fighter a big thumbs up and subscribe to our Youtube Channel.
