We have good days and we have bad days. Every day is a new day and training has to be worked on and reinforced. The gators were being really bad this day, they all came up corning me when I went in trying to feed them. I was able to make my way through, then got them to properly station and the training went back to normal as it usually is. So we got back to normal training in a few minutes, no worries!

So what if one grabbed me, what if I tripped, what if this or that??? I can not believe I get these questions on every post 😂 If you have to ask, I suggest you go watch a few nature documentaries and see what happens. They’re not pets and they’re not friends, and the line between control and chaos can be very thin. They don’t “love” me and there’s not a doubt in my mind that if I go down they are going to kill and eat me. It’s not morbid, it’s reality.

I retained control, and you can see the gators trying to figure out if I’m still in control and if they can take advantage or not. They work off what I do, they react to how I act and the training we have done previously, but they’re always thinking and trying to figure out what they can get away with.

I love to show my cuddly gator photos to show they’re not mindless killers and I want people to learn to appreciate them with the cute side, but I also always want to remind people they’re not pets, they’re always wild animals and should always be respected.
