美國這年來疫情嚴重，大家跟朋友出去要不大家口罩戴好戴滿，要不各自成立social bubble，只跟泡泡裡頭的人才像家人不戴口罩，或去對方家吃飯等等。
我所知道的一些泡泡，除了通常是找有相似的防疫習慣及較熟的朋友外，有些大人為主的，會大家定期篩檢肺炎，來確定泡泡內大家的健康。有些有小朋友的，則是以小孩年紀、相處的狀況、有沒有上學等各種元素綜合考量後再決定。
我們家目前和另個以前同學家是一個泡泡。由於我們兩家疫情以來非常小心，他們家有長輩，我們家…就很小心😅，所以一開始成立泡泡其實是個小心翼翼，慢慢磨合的過程。先是大家去公園戴口罩野餐閒聊，發現兩邊孩子算滿喜歡對方的，接著是互相了解對方對covid的想法及平日生活習慣，雙方誠實地溝通，最後才是去對方家吃飯，正式成立個泡泡。
泡泡成立之初，其實也已經是疫情發生後四五個月的事了。那也是我第一次發現，原來小孩子就算只有一歲多，連話都講不清楚，有相似年齡的朋友還是對她有非常正面的影響。她們互相學習，一起玩樂，每次playdate後精疲力盡。爸媽也能藉機好好小酌休息一下。
而另個有趣的點是，我們朋友其實是韓裔美國人，小孩主要講韓文跟一些英文。我們家女鵝則只會中文，所以每次見面都是雞同鴨講。他們小孩每次看到女鵝都會興奮地叫chingu (“朋友”的韓文)，而我們女鵝則會以非常不標準的發音喊她韓文的名字。我本來以為在這樣的狀況下小孩一定玩不起來，但後來發現，只要爸媽能在旁邊適時(偶而)翻譯一下，其實小孩都能玩得很盡興。
想想，這些其實都是covid下長大的小朋友及父母才會碰到的挑戰。經過這一年的洗禮，讓我深刻地體會到，我也許能當女鵝最大的靠山，但她還是需要自己的朋友，需要爸媽以外的人讓她有更多不同學習的機會及經驗的累積。
很高興加州疫苗4/15就要開放給所有成人打了。希望大家生活能儘速好轉，讓生活回歸正軌。希望不久的將來，各自的小泡泡能變回以前的大泡泡，這邊的小朋友也能像在台灣的小朋友一樣，隨心所欲地跟別的小孩玩、辦生日派對、交新朋友等，過過像爸媽童年時，那種打噴嚏流鼻水也不會交不到朋友的感覺😊
