So the Bragi Dash, referred to as a 'hearable', is like those wearables on your wrist to track health and fitness data - except it's in your ears instead. I've tried it and here are my thoughts: •
I like its sleek design and the earbuds fit in my ears quite securely, for both running and swimming . You can also use it for cycling but I rather not, for safety reasons. •
There are no buttons on the Dash - to use it, you simply tap on them and each side controls different things. It's a little confusing at first because I couldn't remember how many taps for some functions, but it just takes some getting used to. •
The Dash has inbuilt storage for your music so you don't have to carry your phone with you when working out. It also has an inbuilt heart rate sensor, but there's no GPS so the measurement of distance is not so accurate. •
Battery life lasts about nearly 3 hours so it may not be enough for a full marathon, unless you're Mok or Soh. For non-workout usage though; the portable charging cradle can be used to recharge the earbuds - like a power bank. •
Sound quality is good, especially when you play music from the storage. Personally, I would use the Dash more of a music companion than a fitness tracker, because by the time I get out of the pool to return to my phone, the prior connection to my phone had already ceased and the Dash doesn't store the data. •
The cutest thing about it? Taking calls - Nod your head to take the call and shake your head to cancel. Hahahahaha! •
Check out the Bragi Dash at WeAreReady.sg - retailing at $428. #bragi #bragidash #wirelessearphones #hearables #cheryltayworksout
