Good Morning & Happy Weekend from #TheOldForgeCottage 🏡 Yes, it is still morning now in Birmingham 🇬🇧 As I am posting this, it’s only 10.20 o’clock in the morning over here…

Anyway, today we are blessed with the special appearance of The Twinsie Chefs - Fatimah & Ali - helping to cook in our cottage kitchen! However, since Ali is a professional chef, he can’t possibly cook without an apron. Sadly, we misplaced his apron and couldn’t find which box it was in when Mr Dad packed and moved the kitchen stuff from our old home to the new home. As you can imagine, the house went onto panic mode as Ali was on the verge of shedding his tears when he realised that his apron had gone missing…

Luckily, Fatimah - our very own fairy godmother - came to the rescue! She made an instant apron for Ali using a plastic bag - bless her creative brain! And that’s why we always say that Fatimah is the problem solver in our family. Thank you Fatimah for knowing just how to manage your lil’ brother and bring back a smile to his face…🥰

［Looking for flavors of China 尋找中國味］

I love spend time with people.
To share, chat, exchange life.
We teach each other a lot.

I am so happy today.
I finally found and ate that Pancake rolled with crisp fritter.（天津煎餅果子）
This is Thai basil chili pork flavor.
Good for lactose intolerance cuz not milk in the crust.
I thought it yearn day and night.

Although I can't come back to China.
At least Taiwan's epidemic has decreased.
We are temporarily safe.
And fortunately...there is a shopkeeper that brings China traditional food in Taiwan.

"Do you have chili sauce?" I asked
"I have chili powder and chili sauce, both come from Chaotian pepper"she said
"both are ok."I said
“wow, not spicy at all”i tasted.
“I think you are suitable to live in Chongqing 重慶. Cuz other customers think it's spicy.”she said
“Yes, That is my heaven. But actually, I am not very good at eating spicy taste, just mild.”i said.

She's so kind of me, friendly, passion.
I am very grateful for her cooked.

After being a stationery shop owner officially, my friends started to ask about what am I doing. I received loads of positive vibe and responses from them. I cherish those responses from my friends, those words are not praise but encouragement!

I love stationery and being a stationery addict for many years, and I never thought of combining my interest and job, and it actually happened! I’m busy all the time, but I’m truly happy! Besides, sometimes I made mistakes, but my angel customers always forgive. (Thanks a lot!)

Finally, the idea came through my mind in a midnight, and then I suddenly got back to my major: design out of nowhere. I’m excited that I can be back to my design world with positive vibes! I still can’t believe that! Few years ago, one of my follower asked me if I will design my own products; I still remember that I didn’t give her a sure answer and told her “ maybe, but it might happen until I’m ready. “ But still, I still didn’t think of any products until the idea came into my head!

These photos are meaningful to me! Those paper pack are for my friends and customers to try out our first stamp “Traveling on paper.” I’m thankful that many of you are helping me to achieving my dream after many years!
Im still a new bird of being a designer in this community, but I’m working on it! Thank you for sending me love and positive vibes; I’m grateful to be me and have your love and support! I’m sure you will know; yes, I’m talking about you! (Many of you)

從正式將興趣變成工作之後
每當跟身邊朋友問到更新這個消息
都是很多很正面的回覆

多年前被問到這個問題的我
當時只有笑笑的回應著說
很想 ，只是可能要等我準備好
我也以為這件事就不會發生了
拖延症嚴重的我 也沒多想
過了這些年 我依然在這裡
努力完成那個多年前的一個夢
雖然努力拖延著
但也有創作者朋友們鞭策(?)著
應該不會拖延太嚴重吧哈哈哈

at the end of the day, it's the little things that counts. Sometimes things will not turn out the way we anticipated so let's not bring ourselves down even further by kicking yourself about one bad day.

Very thankful for my family, boyfriend and close friends who always remind me that I matter. I just need to learn how to train my mind to not let negative thought cloud my judgements all the time.

here are some outfits that i wear (or more like what i envision myself strutting the streets covid-free) on a daily! I love clothes and fashion since I was a kid, I had stacks of Seventeen magazines growing up and I've always wished I had clothes like the models on those pages but then I realise style isn't about what the media says is pretty. Style is what makes you feel powerful in and that is why fashion is and should be versatile regardless if it is thrifted or hand me downs!
