(中文在下面, switching it up, partly cos my translation is bad lol) Last year I visited this beautiful 1930's mansion in central Taiwan. I love the blend of eastern and western design and the simple modernism. I was surprised to see almost all the original windows and beds were there. I had begun to see posts suggesting the mansion may be demolished so decided to get down there quickly. I will likely turn it into a drawing along with two other large 1930's buildings nearby. It'd be hard to do that without a visit! At the moment it seems it's a provisional monument. However with what happened to Tianwaitian Theater that is no guarantee of protection. I'm a little torn over whether to give location. On the one hand I want people to know about this place and see why it should be protected, and perhaps write about it to the Taichung gov. On the other hand a huge influx of people could cause a number of problems. I think I will leave the location off until I know the cultural bureaus' decision. For now enjoy the pictures!

用返警察先睇得明的中文來說，就是近代英文文獻內僅有 47 宗因鐳射筆造成的眼睛傷害案例，幾乎全部都係兒童或青少年因為貪玩、多次直視激光造成的，只有極少數是醫療失誤引起。

報告又指，隨住鐳射筆更普及使用，相信案例會增加。我不否認鐳射筆會有危險性（詳情可參考這篇：http://bit.ly/2KA6MtP），節錄如下：

//激光分為不同的類別： Class 1, 1M, 2, 2M, 3R, 3B, 4. 而我們的激光筆上面清楚寫明是屬於 Class IIIb 即是 3B 級別。

直視光束可能會有危險，不過，在某些條件下通過漫反射體來看光束是安全的
連續波輸出功率不超逾 0.5 瓦
例子：用於物理治療的激光器
它說的漫反射 (diffuse reflection) 就是從其他角度看這束激光。而連續輸出功率不超過 0.5W 如果轉做 mW 即等於 500mW 。

根據網頁所講， IIIB 及 IV 是會對眼睛做成影響，隨著激光的強度增加，影響會更大。圖四講解例如 IIIB 的激光如果近距離照射眼睛1/4秒會有中度至高度的損害，而它也說如果距離增加或照射時間減少，損害亦會減少。

而它在網頁中有另外一個大表，舉出了一個數據是 500mW 的激光在 160 米外照射眼睛是安全的。如果是觀測漫反射出來的光線，也是安全的。要令皮膚感到熱力，也只有在長時間近距離照射才會有感覺。//

用份報紙咁近距離照射加熱有煙出，又真的合符實際狀況，且對警方造成巨大傷害嗎？

另外，暫時我們未清楚方同學所購得的鐳射筆功率有多大，在此時刻警方想將之定性為武器實在過早，有影響法官判斷之嫌，促請有關方面不應追風捕影地假設張同學有罪。

My father was diagnosed with stage 4 Oral squamous cell carcinoma with spread to cervical lymph node 2 months ago. He was the sole breadwinner as a lorry driver before he quit due to this condition. My mother had benign brain tumor 5 years back and was operated twice and was unable to work since then. I have an elder sister who is working now with income just merely enough for the family expenses and a younger brother who is still studying under PTPTN loan. I am doing my BDS degree under scholarship.
My father wishes to get treatment done in GuangZhou. As a daughter, I fully respect him and his decision and I know I need to support him, in every way I can. The medical bill costs around RM76, 000 and is a huge burden for my family. Despite of lacking of fund, due to the urgency of his condition, the only choice we are left with is to depart for treatment on 16th November(tomorrw) while continue with fundraising here in Malaysia. I am asking for help here to make my father's journey a little easier and less stressful. Whether it's prayer, spreading words around or donation. Anything helps even the smallest amount and it all adds up.

癌症几乎说是每个人的噩梦，相伴而至的字眼都是近期不断出现在各大报刊：xxx不敌癌症/离世。两个月前这个噩梦降临我家，我清清楚楚记得医生在宣判癌症二字时每一字每一句，当时就只有我陪伴着父亲，虽然我其实早已经知道了会是这个结果，但是我当时依然时无法控制泪水，但是我的父亲，他未曾哭过。甚至到了今天，他不曾在我面前流下眼泪，他是那么的坚强，他就是我的父亲。
这两个月，我们一步一步地走过了否认-愤怒-协商-沮丧-接受。最让我痛心的是，有一次与母亲通话时，她告诉我父亲想放弃治疗的想法，并且叫我不要再强迫父亲。对于家属来说，更多的情绪是无助；我即无法代替他承受这些痛苦，又没有经济能力让他接受治疗。但是今天，父亲决定了不向癌症未战先降，不管这背后要付出多少，我们都一定会支持到底，因为他是辛苦了大半辈子把我拉扯到这么大的父亲，他是不管日子多辛苦都不曾放弃将我们几个孩子送进象牙塔的父亲，或者就仅仅因为他是我的父亲。
健康是一项基本人权，但这笔医药费却让我们拖了两个星期，对一个末期癌症病人来说，活着的每一天都是借来的，时间一直在倒数。
我恳求大家伸出援手帮助筹集医药费，让父亲能够健康地继续陪伴我们。

"Fayse The Music" -- Crowd Funded Music Album Project

Are you really anticipating Fayse's debut album? Now this is your chance! We are putting the honour and Fayse's fate in your hand allowing you to decide whether Fayse should be producing his first solo album, by investing in it through pre-order.

We have a strong team, a brilliant concept behind the BIG idea, and definite confidence in Fayse's music, but we do not have the luxury of funding, and the most crucial of all, we are uncertain if your ever-going enquiries in regards to whether Fayse would be releasing his solo album could potentially be translated into actual album sales.

Fayse's album will carry the title 《Fayse The Music》- inclusive of 7 songs (4 Originals by Fayse + 3 Cover songs) ; 3 Music Videos will be produced.
