I created this chair with a partner for a manufacturing class.
This video is actually of two different chairs, the alphatype and then the betatype. I designed the chair by folding letter sized paper. The paper proved to be much easier to fold than the cardboard. When we transferred the design from paper to cardboard my partner came through with a workable modification.
This chair was created with no glue, no tape, no fasteners, and contains only one cut. The chair folds and unfolds completely flat. The chair is made of one piece of cardboard.
I weight 190 lb or 86 Kg and I am 6'4" or 193 cm tall. The chair supported my weight with my feet off the ground.
